Ultra Paine 2023 USD

In the year 2014, Ultra Paine® was the first Trail Running event to take place in both Torres del Paine National Park and Southern Patagonia, Chile. Since that first edition, the event has occurred each year mainly in the month of September, with the only exception being due to the pandemic in 2020. Starting in 2016, the race route was established outside the park, but very close to it, crossing a wide variety of landscapes with the backdrop being the main mountains of Torres del Paine National Park. Since its origin, the event has brought together runners from 40 countries, converging to the southern tip of Patagonia to fulfill the dream of running the trails of one of the most pristine locations on the planet!

The race route has consolidated over the past few years to create an experience that includes distances from 7Km to 80Km (50 Miles). Due to its format and characteristics, the event is open to all levels of participants, ranging from those who are just entering the world of Trail Running to the most experienced mountain runners.

The ninth edition of Ultra Paine® will take place on Saturday, 30 September and Sunday, 1 October, 2023, in the Commune of Torres del Paine (see map). On Saturday, the 21K, 35K, 42K, 50K and 80K race distances will take place using the classic race course used over the past few years. On Sunday, the 7K and 14K will take place within the interior of Reserva Las Torres, which is located in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park.

Beyond kilometers, the entire race route is located in an area of remarkable landscapes, with panoramic views towards the main mountains of Torres del Paine National Park. The shared finish line for the 21K, 35K, 42K, 50K and 80K race distances will be located in the sector of Villa Río Serrano, while the 7K and 14K finish lines will be located at Refugio Torre Central (Reserva Las Torres).

PUERTO NATALES is the base city for Ultra Paine®. In the days leading up the race, the city will serve as the location for kit pick-up and the center for all event information. In addition, the official buses will depart to the Starting Lines from this city and then return again to the same location from the Finish Line. Puerto Natales is the capital of the Province of Ultima Esperanza, in the Magallanes and Chilean Antarctic Region.

En el año 2014, Ultra Paine® fue el primer evento de Trail Running en el Parque Nacional Torres del Paine y en la Patagonia Sur de Chile. Desde esa primera edición, se ha desarrollado anualmente en forma consecutiva, principalmente en el mes de septiembre, con la única excepción de la reprogramación dada por la pandemia en el año 2020. Desde el 2016 su ruta de carrera quedó establecida fuera del parque, pero muy cercana a este, cruzando por una amplia variedad de paisajes donde las montañas del Parque Nacional Torres del Paine son el telón de fondo. Desde su origen ha convocado a corredores de más de 40 países, los que convergen hasta el extremo sur de la Patagonia para cumplir el sueño de correr por los senderos en uno de los lugares más prístinos del planeta.

En los últimos años se ha consolidado una ruta de carrera que incluye distancias que van desde los 7Km hasta los 80Km (50 Millas). Por sus características es un evento abierto a todo nivel de participantes, desde los que recién se inician en el Trail Running hasta los más experimentados corredores de montaña.

La novena edición de Ultra Paine® se desarrollará entre los días sábado 30 de septiembre y domingo 01 de octubre, 2023, en la Comuna Torres del Paine (ver mapa). El día sábado se corren las distancias de 21K, 35K, 42K, 50K y 80K en la ruta clásica de los últimos años. Por su parte, el día domingo será para los 7K y los 14K, que se correrán al interior de la Reserva Las Torres, que se ubica en el corazón del Parque Nacional Torres del Paine.

Más allá de los kilómetros, toda la línea de carrera se emplaza en una zona de paisajes privilegiados, con vistas panorámicas hacia las principales montañas del Parque Nacional Torres del Paine. La meta común para las distancias de 21K, 35K, 42K, 50K, 80K y 125K estará en el sector de Villa Río Serrano y la meta de los 7K y los 14K estará en el Refugio Torre Central (Reserva Las Torres).

PUERTO NATALES es la ciudad base de Ultra Paine®. En los días previos a la carrera aquí se realiza la entrega de kits y funciona el centro de informaciones del evento. Además, los buses oficiales hacia las partidas salen desde esta ciudad y luego retornan desde meta. Puerto Natales es la capital de la Provincia de Última Esperanza, en la Región de Magallanes y Antártica Chilena.
