This tour is specially designed for the participants of Andes Pacifico 2019. Tailor made tours at the same destination also availiable.
This tour offers a perfect balance between sports activities and relaxation, specially designed for those who are preparing for the demanding days of Andes Pacifico or looking to chill and enjoy the summertime after the race! You will be able to bike, surf and enjoy the beach everyday while staying in the amazing Surazo Hotel, literaly in the beach!
Matanzas is a picturesque fishermen village and beach destination on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, internationally known for its excellent conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing. A few years ago began the construction of MTB trails as an alternative for the days without surfing conditions, and today we have a great network of routes for all levels of riders.
And after all the biking and surfing in Matanzas, for the gran finale we will visit one of the best wineries of the Maipo Valley and taste some unforgettable chilean wines!

February 6, 2018
Lets go to Matanzas! We meet in Santiago (hotel or airport) or in the Andes Pacifico last camp, put the bikes in the pickup and hit the road to Matanzas. Approximately 4hours drive.
We arrive in Matanzas in time to enjoy the sunset with a welcome drink on the beach lounge. Check in and dinner in Surazo Restaurant with the briefing from the guides.
February 7, 2018
After the super healthy breakfast looking at the ocean, the first day begins with a ride through the trails right in our doorsteps. We will visit the OMZ Bike Park, enjoying its 3 totally flowy descents. To finish this round, we will go to the vertiginous La Trilla, a descent that leaves breathless all the courageous riders who dare to roll for this scenic trail. We can have lunch in the hotel or local fishermen restaurants and small shops in the Caleta with a fresh ceviche!
In the afternoon, after a relaxation time, we will take the bicycles again and go to the Pupuya valley enjoy the "El Arado" trail and then arrive at sunset closing the day with a toast.
February 8, 2018
The second day begins with a free morning to practice surfing* to then go for the a well-deserved lunch. For the afternoon, we go to the Maitén sector and tour the trails of a private bike park and the local secret “La Gozadora” ("the joyfull”). All this can take up to 4 hours to ride all the trails. We will return to the hotel and have a toast again while enjoying the last pacific sunset!
(* For those who do not dare to surf, there is an option to go pedaling through the sector with the guides exploring some new trails.)
February 9, 2018
The last day concludes with a relaxed free morning, or for those who are up to do more sports activities there is either surfing or pedaling in the trails from the first day, in vicinity of the hotel. Also, one can use this time to prepare the bicycles or just relax in the beach.
We will have lunch at 12:00 so that no later than 2pm we can start the trip back to Santiago. However we have the last activity of the tour were we visit one of the wineries of the famous Maipo Valley, home of some of the best wines of Chile. We will definetly taste a Carmenere (and other grapes as well!) and have plenty of time to see all the wine production and chat with the people that elaborate it. Arrival in Santiago is estimated at 7pm in hotel or airport.

A) The practice of MTB it is an activity that have the potential to cause severe injuries. Therefore, the user releases Montenbaik tours for any injuries that may occur. - B) Cancellations made until 30 days prior to the tour, we will retain 50% of the total cost of the tour. From 29 to 14 days prior to the tour, we will retain 70%. After that no refund can be made. - C) If the tour did not reach the minimum number of participants required, it can be modified, rescheduled or canceled. In case of cancellation by the organizers, all payments will be refunded.
