Constanza Nieto

I have over 20 years of experience as entrepreneur, founder, CEO, consultant, investor, and business executive of private and public corporations, and government institutions in Latin America and the United States. Co-founded Globaltech Bridge in the US, BBVA Horizonte in Colombia, AFP Prevision in Bolivia, and AFP Prevision in El Salvador. Served as founder, President and CEO of Horizonte a Pensions Fund Manager, lead the acquisition process by the Spanish group BBVA, and acquired and merged numerous other pension funds. I was also CIO, CTO and COO of Banks and Insurance corporations, and CFO of the Social Security Institute in Colombia, where I started the Pensions system reform.

In 2005 I co-founded Globaltech Bridge, a US corporation based in Silicon Valley, to support innovation and global expansion of Latin American companies. As CEO and consultant at Globaltech, I have helped governments evaluate and support companies in their plans for global expansion, and assessment of innovation ecosystems. I helped the Mexican Government design and establish TechBA, the Mexican Business Accelerator program in Silicon Valley, and evaluated projects for Senacyt ( Panama), Intel Challenge, Start Up Chile , the Government of the city of Buenos Aires and the MIT program TR 35. Supported governments, universities, investors,and science parks from Colombia, Panama, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Chile, Uruguay and Argentina with training programs, and coached companies to help them innovate, create sound marketing strategies, get clients, partners and funding in global markets.

I have an Industrial Engineering degree with a Minor in Statistics from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, and am a Certified Marketing Specialist from the University of California. In my professional life I have been a University Professor and Counselor, international lecturer, and president and member of several Boards of Directors.
