El evento

Día con foco en secundarios de las tres provincias de la Región del Biobío, emprendedores de base tecnológica y alumnos universitarios del área STEM. Todos los participantes deben estar pre inscritos y se distribuirá su llegada al lugar para permitir una experiencia más cercana.

La primera parte corresponde a presentaciones plenarias, para luego pasar a actividades con los expertos internacionales en workshop planificados.

Alavaro Fischer
Presidente Consejo Nacional de Innovación para el Desarrollo (CNID)

De formación Ingeniero matemático de la Universidad de Chile, es cofundador de Resiter, grupo de compañías proveedoras de soluciones tecnológicas ambientales a empresas mineras, industriales y de alimentos desde hace casi 30 años. Fue presidente del Instituto de Ingenieros de Chile (2000-2001), rector de INACAP (2005), y presidente de la Fundación Chile.
Actualmente, es integrante del Consejo Nacional de Innovación para el Desarrollo de Chile, miembro de la Human Behavior and Evolution Society desde 1999, de la New York Academy of Science desde 1998, y presidente de la Fundación Ciencia y Evolución, creada en 2008.

Eduardo Bendek
Senior Scientist JPL – NASA

Dr. Bendek has more than 10 years of experience in design, integration, and operation of state-of-the-art opto-mechanical systems for ground and space-based telescopes. Areas of expertise include adaptive optics, wavefront control, high-contrast imaging, and large off-axis optical systems.
He joined NASA as a postdoctoral fellow at Ames and currently, he serves as a scientist at Ames, as is continuing the astrometry effort developing a simultaneous direct imaging and astrometry exoplanet detection demonstration funded by a ROSES TDEM grant. In addition, he is developing ultra-compact deformable mirror controllers for space applications.
He is very interested in outreach and has created the Optics Outreach Abroad program at Univ. of Arizona, and the Coach a Teacher program as part of the Fulbright Alumni. He is also an entrepreneur and co-founder of Yx Ltda (Yx Wireless).

Cristobal Urenda
Lead Digital Transformation at Unidad Digital de ENTEL (ENTEL Ocean)

Cristobal is a Sales Professional with 20+ years of experience. He has experience selling in three different continents through direct and channel sales. He has developed a deep level of knowledge on how the technology markets are moving and how customers are buying. Fluent in three languages and with the documented high-level performance against sales quotas. He has the ability to create high-performance teams in extremely competitive markets with deep knowledge of Solution Selling and guides through Ethical Leadership.
Most recently Cristobal has Founded and led Analytics10 a company specialized in Advanced Analytics Services and solutions. Cristobal has also acted as a Solution Selling instructor and coach for several LATAM tech companies.
From March 2018 on Cristobal is leading the new Digital Unit area for ENTEL (Chiles and Perus leading Telco). The division, called Entel Ocean, is today focused in the delivery of Analytics, IoT, Big Data, Cloud and Ciber Security solutions.

Chris Brunskill
Head of Access to Space, Space Catapult

Dr Chris Brunskill is an electronics engineer specialising in small satellite systems and mission design. He obtained a Masters of Engineering degree in electronics and satellite engineering from the University of Surrey and a PhD in space robotics from the Surrey Space Centre. He is currently Head of Access to Space at the Satellite Applications Catapult, where his work focuses on the development of new satellite applications that utilise state of the art flight, ground and launch technologies for demonstration of new mission concepts. Chris is passionate about open, innovative technology development in the space sector.

William Carbone
Chairman of the Technical Experts Council CZ|SK, IBM

William Carbone is a global innovator, popular keynote speaker, futurist, thinker and a strategic business & technology advisor to governments and companies. He helps organizations improve their business performance, use data more intelligently and understand the implications of new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Analytics and the Internet of things. William is a catalyst for change and innovation in key business & research areas. Locally, he is serving as the chairman of the IBM Technical Experts Council. Hands-on practitioner and applied technologist driving sustainable organic innovation for business, William is an advisory board member of Data&Society Lab, Matej Bel University and Slovak.ai - Slovak Research Center for Artificial Intelligence.
William is among the most exceptional IBMers appointed with the rare distinction of IBM Academy of Technology member, top 100s technical leaders providing the direction of IBM with innovation that matters. Aerospace pioneer, he has been involved in several global projects and initiatives, including NASA, ESA and European Aerospace companies to drive innovation and solve global problems with the usage of technology. William helps fostering the technical eminence of young talents and experts in the region by mentoring start-ups, local businesses and institutions.

Alessandro Golkar
Associate Professor, Technology Development Director - Skoltech

Space Systems Engineer, Alessandro Golkar is Associate Professor at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech). Since 2017, Alessandro Golkar is on leave from Skoltech as Vice President Concurrent Engineering (Technology Planning and Roadmapping) at the Airbus Corporate Technology Office (CTO) in Toulouse, France. Before Airbus, he served as the Interim Director of the Skoltech Space Center. His research looks at new ways for looking at complex systems architecting problems, and developing research and demonstrators of novel spacecraft technology.
Alessandro is an IEEE Senior Member and an AIAA Senior Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and a FAA licensed private pilot.
He served as a consultant for the European Space Agency and was a Research Fellow and Visiting Independent Advisor at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory; at MIT he worked for grants sponsored by NASA Headquarters and BP plc.
Among other recognitions, he is the recipient of the 2014 Luigi G. Napolitano Award and the 2014 Best Journal Paper Award of the Year of the INCOSE Systems Engineering Journal.

Lynne Genkiel
Directora Innovation Ecosystems - GaTech EI2

Lynne is the Director of Innovation Ecosystems in Georgia Tech’s Economic Development Lab in the Enterprise Innovation Institute (EI2). Lynne has been with Georgia Tech for over seventeen years in the Enterprise Innovation Institute (EI2) and has lead the organization managing the commercialization process for the NASA Technology Programs office at three NASA centers and now the Innovation Ecosystems program for EI2
Her 32 years of experience includes fifteen years with IBM in finance, overseeing manufacturing, and research & development organizations encompassing several different divisions as well as her years with Georgia Tech structuring and developing business incubation and industry collaboration. One of Lynne’s expertise is in converting technological discoveries into viable commercial products; partnering industry, academia and government for the advancement of our U.S. business economy.
